CALIFORNIA * Self-apply/reporting state: Attorneys must report attendance / completion of CLE requirements. California State Bar Association members (except those on voluntary inactive status) report MCLE compliance by submitting a statement of compliance to the State Bar online. Prior to the end of the reporting period, the State Bar sends compliance cards to those who must comply that year. Attorneys must retain their certificates of attendance for participatory credit activities. COLORADO (50-minutes) * Self-apply/reporting state: Attorneys must report attendance / completion of CLE requirements. Colorado lawyers must complete an online affidavit form via the Supreme Court's lawyer reporting site. and enter the course approval code found on attorney certificates of completion. HAWAII * The DSO TRAINING DIVISION is an approved provider and as such does not need pre-approval for its legal education activities. Idaho attorneys may individually apply for course approval by submitting the Application for CLE credit to the Idaho State Bar with the required attachments such as the agenda and uniform certificate attendance. ILLINOIS * Self-apply/reporting state: Attorneys must report attendance / completion of CLE requirements. Course provider keeps attendance record for at least three years after course ends. INDIANA Sponsor will submit attendance on behalf of attorneys within 30 days of the completion date of the program/activity. KANSAS (50-minutes) Sponsor will submit attendance /sign-in sheet on behalf of the attorney if the program is held within the state of Kansas or is a webinar (live or prerecorded) or teleconference. Self-reporting state: If the program was attended outside the state of Kansas, attorneys must report attendance / completion of CLE requirements within 30 days of the program. MAINE * Self-apply/reporting state: Attorneys must report attendance / completion of CLE requirements within 60 days of completion. There is a fee to self-apply of $25. For non-residents who are licensed and practicing in states with mandatory CLE requirements (like New Hampshire) you can self-certify your compliance with CLE requirements. For those in states without mandatory CLE (like Massachusetts and D.C.) you will need to demonstrate compliance with Maine CLE requirements. NEW HAMPSHIRE * NHMCLE Board no longer pre-approves courses nor course providers for NHMCLE credit. Self-apply/reporting state: New Hampshire attendees must self-determine whether a program is eligible for credit, and self-report their attendance online. NEW JERSEY (50-minutes) * Self-reporting state: Attorneys must report attendance / completion of CLE requirements. Attorneys certify compliance when required and on forms provided by the New Jersey board. New Jersey attorneys are not required to report individual course attendance as each course is completed but must retain their certificates of attendance for at least 3 years and must produce them if audited. NEW MEXICO Sponsor will submit attendance on behalf of attorneys within 30 days of the completion date of the program/activity. There is a non-refundable filing fee of $1.00 per credit hour that must be paid by attorneys wishing to obtain credit from the New Mexico MCLE Board. NEW YORK (50-minutes) * Self-apply/reporting state: Attorneys must report attendance / completion of CLE requirements. New York attorneys who attend out-of-state courses that have been accredited by a New York approved jurisdiction may apply those credits towards their New York continuing legal education requirement. Credit for courses in compliance, shall be given in accordance with the Rules for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education.
