Training Event Description
This online resource is a compilation of program videos, with accompanying written materials and PowerPoint slides, aimed at providing new attorneys and experienced attorneys new to federal criminal defense with the resources and training necessary to get up to speed in federal practice. Topics covered include the Federal Rules of Evidence, the United States Sentencing Guidelines, pretrial release in federal court, and more. This resource also includes programing focused on federal offenses commonly handled by new attorneys.
Program videos included in this resource are prerecorded from prior programs and complied based on their applicability to attorneys new to federal defense. This online resource will be regularly updated with relevant content.
CLE Applicable Event

This is an online resource. Online resources are a compilation of previously recorded videos and webinars, handouts, PowerPoints and other materials focused on a specific topic. Defender Services Office Training Division, (DSOTD), does not apply for CLE for viewers of this online resource. However, DSOTD will provide viewers of pre-recorded videos within this online resource with a Certificate of Attendance (COA). This COA can be used to self-apply for CLE credits with the viewer's respective bar, depending on the requirements of the viewer's bar association. If you would like to request a COA to self-apply for CLE credit for watching pre-recorded videos within this online resource, email your request to George_Couture@ao.uscourts.gov along with your name, your state and bar number, the full title of the recording you viewed and the date you viewed it.
