FD.org’s Criminal Defense Topics (CDTs) can be accessed via the password protected side of FD.org. DSOTD has launched a new CDT: "CJA Funding." This CJA Funding page provides materials and resources related to CJA hourly rates, case rate maximums, funding lapse motions, judicial orders and more, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3006A(d). The funding lapse sample motions cover topics including: sample motions to dismiss a defendant’s case due to lack of CJA funding, sample motions to postpone trial and sentencing dates due to a funding lapse and motions to withdraw from representation due to a lack of interpreter funds during a government shutdown. Also included in this section are legal news and announcements related to government shut down and funding lapses.
All CDTs are password protected. A limited number of non-password protected CJA resources can be found in FD.org's Other Resources section: "Compensation, Funding & Budgeting."
