Charles Willson Appointed as Next Federal Public Defender for the District of Connecticut

The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit appoints Charles F. Willson as the Federal Public Defender for the District of Connecticut. Mr. Willson served as an Assistant Federal Defender in the District of Connecticut since 2015, and worked in private practice. While in private practice, Mr. Willson was a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panels for the District of Connecticut and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals for over ten years, as well as for the First Circuit Court of Appeals. He will assume his duties on April 1, 2026.
