Request Access to FD.org

Accessing FD.org's Password Protected Resources

Access to the secure/password protected sections of FD.org is generally limited to employees of federal defender offices and private CJA practitioners. Secured sections on FD.org include DSOTD's program materials and training and legal content organized by criminal defense topic. To request access to these password protected sections of FD.org see the instructions below. 

Federal Defender Office Employees:

You should have received an email explaining how to log in to fd.org. If you did not receive this email, please email: fdorg_help@ao.uscourts.gov.

CJA Panel Attorneys and Practitioners:

If you have FD.org login credentials, recover your password here: https://www.fd.org/user/password

If you are a private CJA panel attorney requesting access to fd.org for the first time, complete the online application. We will attempt to review your application within 7 business days.  If your application is approved, you will receive an automated email containing your user ID and instructions to create a password.  We will notify you by email if your application is denied.

Others In Need of Access:

Answer "No" to the first question:  "Are you a member of a CJA district or appellate court panel, or enrolled
in an established CJA Panel Training Program in at least one jurisdiction?:
