National Immigrant Justice Center's Defenders Initiative:
The Office of Defender Services has established a partnership with National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) to provide training and resources to CJA practitioners around the country on immigration-related issues. Federal defenders and CJA panel attorneys can call NIJC's Defenders Initiative at (312) 660-1624 or e-mail defenders@immigrantjustice.org with questions regarding potential immigration issues affecting their clients. An NIJC attorney will respond to the inquiry within 24 business hours. Downloadable practice advisories and training materials are also available on NIJC's website.
