The United States Sentencing Commission today released its updated "First Step Act of 2018 Resentencing Provisions Retroactivity Data Report." These new updated data from the USSC show that 3,363 prisoners have been granted sentence reductions. The average sentence reduction was 71 months of imprisonment. The data shows that nearly 92% of persons receiving FSA sentence reductions are Black and more than 4% are Latinx.
