In an interview to the Associated Press, Attorney General William Barr said the Justice Department would appeal the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit's ruling last month that tossed the death penalty for Dzhokar Tsarnaev, the man who was convicted of carryong out the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing.  "We will do whatever's necessary, " Barr said.  "We will take it up to the Supreme Court and we will continue to persue the death penalty."  As previously reported here, the First Circuit vacated Tsarnaev's death sentence after finding that the district court did not adequately explore the impact of the extensive pretrial publicity on the jurors who recommended the death sentence for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
