In several districts,
the courts have issued standing orders appointing the federal public defender
as counsel in crack retroactivity cases, for the purposes of identifying
all individuals with a claim for relief under the amended crack guidelines
and/or representing those individuals in any § 3582 (c)(2) proceedings.
Below are the standing orders of which the Training Branch is aware; others
may have issued or will be forthcoming. CJA panel attorneys with questions
regarding standing orders in their districts should contact their respective
federal public defender offices. |
